Douglas Gannett
Principal and Managing Partner

Douglas Gannett is the founder and Managing Partner of Metrowest Development. He has over 25 years of real estate development and advisory experience working with a broad range of property types and market for both private and publicly owned companies. Mr. Gannett has developed, managed and structured debt and equity in transactions totaling over $500 million. Prior to his starting the Metrowest Companies, in 1998 Mr. Gannett co-founded Praedium Development, a retail development company in Chicago and in 1987 founded Gannett Capital Inc. a mortgage banking firm specializing in the debt and equity placement of middle market real estate transactions. Prior to his founding of Gannett Capital Inc., he spent 4 years in public accounting with Deloitte Haskins and Sells in Denver, Colorado. In his various companies, Mr. Gannett has overseen acquisitions/dispositions, site selection, entitlements, development, leasing, property/construction management, financial reporting and all debt/equity placement. Gannett's responsibilities range from all financial issues including origination of debt, raising equity, accounting, as well as construction management, site selection, contract/leasenegotiation, property management and partnership structuring/administration.

Doug has a B.A. degree in accounting from the University of Iowa (1983). He serves as a mentor to the University of Denver graduate school of business and serves on the board of several non-profit organizations.

Joe Gannett
Principal Development Partner

Joe is responsible for the entire investment life cycle, including sourcing opportunities, project capitalization, development/re-positioning, asset management, and dispositions. He has directly managed the development, expansion, lease-up, and equity creation of multiple communities throughout the United States.

Joe has a B.A. degree in Physics with a minor emphasis in Finance from Lake Forest College (2017).

John Gannett
Financial Analyst/Development Associate

John Gannett started his real estate career in 2020 and joined Metrowest in 2022. He is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities as well as the development and entitlement process of several residential properties from initial design to completion.

John has a B.A. degree in Science Business Administration from Denver University College (2022).
